Forty percent. iWantClips takes 40% of every standard clip sale. I read that number three times because I assumed I was looking at the wrong column. Every other creator platform I've reviewed in this project takes 20%. OnlyFans — 20%. Fansly — 20%. LoyalFans — 20%. FanCentro before it broke — 20%. iWantClips looks at that industry standard and doubles it.

The counter-argument is that clip stores have always taken more. Clips4Sale takes the same 40% and they've been doing it since 2003. The clip marketplace model involves different economics than subscriptions — the platform does more discovery work, handles more individual transactions, manages more varied content types. That's the justification. Whether it still holds when subscription platforms offer comparable features at half the take rate is a question every creator on iWantClips should be asking.

There are different rates for different revenue streams and this matters. Standard clips: 60% to creator, 40% to platform. Pay-to-view messaging: 70% to creator. Tips and tributes: 80% to creator. And the big one — custom clips through iWantCustomClips: 100% to creator. Zero platform cut. That last number is why some creators stay despite the standard rate. If your business is built around custom orders where a buyer pays you $50-100 per minute of custom video, keeping every dollar of that while using iWantClips' infrastructure for everything else can make the math work. But if you're selling pre-made clips through the store — which is the core product — you're giving up 40 cents of every dollar.

New artists who signed up on or after January 1, 2025 get a temporary 80% rate. I couldn't find how long "temporary" lasts before it drops to 60%.

On a mainstream e-commerce site that data powers personalization. On a fetish content store it's a behavioral record of someone's sexual interests tied to their payment identity.

And then there's the 2020 incident. iWantClips accidentally released the 1099 tax forms of 483 artists. Let me make sure that lands. 1099 forms contain legal names. Home addresses. Social Security numbers or tax identification numbers. For adult performers working under stage names — which is nearly all of them — having their legal identity exposed is not an administrative error. It's a safety crisis. Performers in the adult industry use stage names specifically to maintain separation between their professional and personal identities. A data leak that connects "Bratty Nikki" to "Rosalie Rose Hudson" (which is public in this case because she's the CEO) is one thing. A data leak that connects 483 performers' stage names to their legal names and home addresses is a different category of harm.

The platform acknowledged the incident. I couldn't find details on what remediation was offered to the affected artists.

The founders are public and that's worth recognizing. Rosalie Rose Hudson, performing as Bratty Nikki, is the CEO. Jude Hudson co-founded the company. The legal entity is Gatsby Enterprises CA LLC, converted from Gatsby Enterprises Inc. in 2022, based in Hollywood, California. In the Creator Platforms category, this is the most transparent ownership I've documented. LoyalFans has no identified operator. FanCentro's founders stepped back. OnlyFans has Leonid Radvinsky. Fansly has Select Media LLC. iWantClips has a named CEO who actively performs on the platform she runs. That's unusual and it provides accountability that anonymous operators can't offer.

The iWantEmpire ecosystem is the feature differentiator. It's not just a clip store. iWantClips handles pre-made videos. iWantCustomClips handles custom orders at 100% creator earnings. iWantPhone offers phone and cam lines. iWantFanClub provides subscription-based fan access. iWantBlog gives creators a content publishing tool. Five interconnected products under one login. No other clip platform integrates this much functionality. ManyVids comes closest but doesn't have the phone/cam line equivalent.

The niche dominance is real. Femdom, financial domination, fetish customs — iWantClips has a reputation in these categories that Clips4Sale and ManyVids don't match. Buyers in these niches specifically seek out the platform. For creators in femdom or findom, the built-in audience reduces the marketing burden. For creators outside these niches, the platform's identity may not fit.

Traffic is about 5 million monthly visits per Semrush, down 23% from January. That's a steep single-month decline. The competitor landscape — iWantClips vs Clips4Sale vs ManyVids — shows Clips4Sale at 32M visits and ManyVids at 34M. iWantClips is the smallest of the three major clip platforms by a significant margin. But the 40% standard take rate is the worst in the Creator Platforms category, the session recording flag on a fetish clip store raises serious behavioral privacy concerns, the 2020 tax form leak of 483 artists demonstrated real data handling failures, and the traffic is declining while competitors grow. If you're a femdom or findom creator who does primarily custom work, the 100% rate on customs makes iWantClips worth considering despite everything else. If you're selling pre-made clips, keeping 60 cents on the dollar when OnlyFans lets you keep 80 is a hard number to look past.
