RedTube is one of those sites that everyone's heard of but nobody actually uses as their main site. It's basically Pornhub's little brother — same company, same infrastructure, same Aylo network behind it. And honestly after spending time on it I can see why people just go to Pornhub instead.

The name is funny though. They literally named it after YouTube back when that was a clever thing to do. That was like 2007 or something and the joke has not aged well but whatever, the name stuck.

Content wise there's a lot here. Millions of videos, mix of user uploads and studio stuff. But it feels smaller than the other big tubes even if the actual numbers are similar. I think it's because the homepage is less cluttered and they don't shove as many thumbnails at you. Which is actually kind of nice? The dark mode design is clean, way better looking than XVideos or XHamster. Someone actually put thought into the UI here.

Quality goes up to 4K on some newer stuff and premium content. Most free videos are 720p or 1080p. Standard tube quality, nothing special but nothing terrible.

The ads are there obviously. Banners everywhere, pop-unders when you click, the usual casino and dating redirect garbage. I didn't count but it felt slightly less aggressive than some of the other big tubes? Could be wrong about that, maybe I just got lucky that session. On mobile the ads are worse as always. No app, not on any store, so you're using the browser and dealing with whatever pops up.

Premium is about ten bucks a month. That gets you no ads and better quality. I think it connects to the whole Aylo premium network so you probably get access to Pornhub Premium content too but I didn't verify that. For ten bucks that'd actually be a decent deal if true.

Downloads on free are basically a no. Streaming only unless you go premium or use some third party tool. Nothing new there.

The mobile site is actually pretty good. Loads fast, responsive design, search works fine. They have servers spread out globally so speed isn't really an issue wherever you are. That dark theme looks especially good on phone screens at night. Not that I would know anything about that.

Privacy is the usual tube situation. Trackers running, analytics, ad cookies. It's Aylo so same data practices as Pornhub basically. Billing on premium is discreet, generic company name on the statement.

My issue with RedTube is that I can't figure out why I'd pick it over Pornhub. Same company, similar content, similar premium pricing. The design is nicer I guess? But that's about it. It doesn't have a killer feature or a massive library advantage or cheaper premium. It just kind of exists.

6.5/10. Clean design and decent mobile experience but there's no real reason to come here over the bigger tubes. It's fine. Just fine. And "just fine" doesn't really cut it when you're competing with sites that have ten million videos.
