I'm going to be honest. I reviewed Pornhub. I reviewed YouPorn. I reviewed RedTube. Now I'm reviewing Tube8. All four are Aylo properties running on the same infrastructure, sharing the same content, using the same tracking, offering the same premium tier. At some point I have to ask — why does Tube8 exist?

The answer is domain authority and legacy traffic. Tube8 has been around since 2007. It built an audience before Aylo (then MindGeek) acquired it, and that audience — 15.4 million monthly visits — still shows up through bookmarks, search rankings, and habit. But the product itself is not differentiated in any way I can identify after testing it alongside its sibling sites.

Blacklight scan: 2 trackers, 0 cookies. No fingerprinting. No session recording. No keystroke capture. Identical to Pornhub. Identical to YouPorn. Same Aylo infrastructure, same tracking profile. I'd copy and paste my Pornhub privacy analysis here if I thought that was useful. The short version: 2 third-party trackers is what the scan shows. What Aylo does with your behavioral data internally across all their properties is a separate layer that Blacklight can't measure. Every visit to Tube8 feeds the same first-party data system that tracks you across Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube, Brazzers, and the rest of the network.

VirusTotal came back 0/94. Clean. Same as every Aylo property. These are professionally operated sites with real security teams.

The design is modern because it's the Aylo template. Same layout language as Pornhub and YouPorn — thumbnail grid, category navigation, search bar, premium upsell banners. It works. The player is smooth. Filters function properly. Mobile is optimized. I'm describing the same thing I described in three previous reviews because it IS the same thing.

The layout is cluttered in the same way YouPorn is cluttered. Premium upsells, network cross-links, trending creator badges, promotional banners. Tube8 actually feels slightly more aggressive about it than YouPorn did during my testing — more screen real estate dedicated to pushing you toward Pornhub Premium or Brazzers trials. It's the third-string property and it knows it. The whole browsing experience feels like it's trying to redirect you somewhere else in the network.

Content overlap with Pornhub is massive. I did the same side-by-side test I did with YouPorn — searched the same terms on both sites, compared first-page results. Rough overlap was 50-60%. The library is smaller than Pornhub's. Smaller than YouPorn's. Same Aylo studio content, same verified creator uploads, but less of it. I couldn't find a single category where Tube8 had content that wasn't also available on Pornhub. Not one.

Premium is the Aylo bundle. About $10/month. You're paying for Pornhub Premium access, not a Tube8-specific experience. Billing shows as Aylo — discreet. Same deal I described in the Pornhub and YouPorn reviews.

Ads on the free tier: 1-2 interactions on page load. Banner, occasional interstitial. Same as YouPorn. Marginally worse than Pornhub's free tier in my testing but it's hard to tell because the Aylo ad load seems to vary by session. Desktop with an adblocker makes it disappear. Mobile without one is the standard tube ad experience.

No downloads. No app. No VR. No unique features of any kind. Tube8 is the minimum viable Aylo product — a domain that serves content from the shared library, collects traffic from its legacy search rankings, and funnels users toward premium conversion. That's it. That's the whole product.

15.4 million monthly visitors sounds substantial until you compare it to Pornhub at the top of the Aylo food chain. This is roughly 5-7% of Pornhub's traffic. The audience that comes here is either arriving through old bookmarks and search results that still rank, or they don't know that Pornhub exists and offers the same thing with more of it. I can't think of a third explanation.

5.6 out of 10. The scan is clean by Aylo standards, the infrastructure works, and it's free. But there is literally no reason to use Tube8 if you know about Pornhub or YouPorn. Same company, same content, same tracking, same premium — just less of everything. It exists because the domain still ranks and legacy traffic still converts. If Aylo shut it down tomorrow, nobody would notice a gap in the market because there isn't one.
