Stripchat launched in 2016 and since then it's been doing this thing where it quietly becomes the most technically advanced cam site without most people noticing. Seven hundred million monthly visits and growing, which puts it right up there with the biggest names. But what actually sets it apart is VR.

I need to talk about the VR thing because it's genuinely impressive. Stripchat was the first major cam site to offer live VR streaming back in 2019. You put on a headset — Meta Quest, Apple Vision Pro, whatever you have — and you're in a 360-degree room with a performer. It uses WebXR through the browser so there's no app to download, you just open the site in your headset browser and go. The number of VR rooms isn't massive yet but the ones that are streaming in VR do it in high resolution and low latency. If you own a VR headset and you haven't tried this, you're missing out on what camming is going to look like in five years.

Now for the regular non-VR experience. Around 3,000 to 6,000 performers online depending on when you check. Models from over 40 countries which gives you more variety than most platforms. Categories cover women, men, couples, and trans, with some of the most granular filtering I've seen on any cam site. You can filter by ethnicity, language, body type, specific tags. It's nerdy in the best way possible.

The interface is clean. Dark mode by default, modern layout, nothing cluttered or overwhelming. It looks like it was designed in the last few years, not the last decade. Coming from Chaturbate's orange-and-white chaos this feels like stepping into a different era. The mobile site is particularly good — one of the best mobile cam experiences I've tested. They have a PWA you can install to your home screen that works almost like a native app.

Shows work the same as most tip-based sites. Public shows are free to watch, no account needed. You buy tokens to tip or go private. Show types include regular public streams, private one-on-one with Cam2Cam option, group shows where multiple viewers split the cost, and spy mode where you can peek into someone else's private show for cheaper.

Token pricing. Here's what you're looking at:

90 tokens for about ten bucks. 200 for twenty. 500 for forty-five. 1,000 for eighty. One token works out to roughly eight to twelve cents depending on the package and payment method. Private show rates vary wildly — anywhere from 6 tokens per minute on the very low end to 60 on the high end. Most mid-tier performers sit around 16 to 30 per minute. So a fifteen minute private session runs you somewhere between twenty and forty bucks. Not cheap but not as brutal as some sites.

The pricing is dynamic too which is interesting. Stripchat uses an algorithmic discount system instead of traditional promo codes. New accounts tend to see better prices, and seasonal events (Black Friday, New Year) bring bigger bonuses. Two users checking the same token page might see completely different pricing based on their account history and region.

Lovense integration is here too, same as Chaturbate. Tips trigger toy vibrations in real time. There's also this Wheel of Fortune feature where you spend tokens to spin and the wheel lands on a random action the performer does. It's gimmicky but people seem to love it.

Payment options are solid. Credit cards, Paxum, CosmoPayment, and crypto. Billing shows up as "S-Chat Services" on statements which is about as generic as it gets. No one's figuring that one out.

The performer economics are worth mentioning because they're significantly better than Chaturbate. Models keep 80% on Stripchat versus 50% on Chaturbate. That's a massive difference and probably why the platform keeps attracting high-quality performers.

Ads are minimal. A few banners here and there but nothing that interrupts the experience. No redirects, no pop-ups covering the stream. Compared to the tubes this is a breath of fresh air.

Privacy is actually one of Stripchat's strongest cards and nobody talks about it. Our Blacklight scan returned a perfect result — zero ad trackers, zero third-party cookies, no fingerprinting, no session recording, no keystroke capture. That makes it the cleanest cam site we tested, and cleaner than most free tubes too. You can browse completely anonymously without an account. If you want to interact you need to register but watching is free and private. The one knock is billing — charges show up as STRIPCHAT or SC*TOKENS on your statement, which is about as indiscreet as it gets. Everything else about the privacy profile is excellent.

8.8/10. The VR feature alone makes this worth checking out if you have a headset. Even without VR the interface is cleaner, the filtering is smarter, and the performer payout structure means better talent sticks around. Token pricing is essentially identical to Chaturbate so it comes down to what you value — Chaturbate has the bigger community, Stripchat has the better tech and UI. For anyone who cares about the actual platform experience rather than just finding the most rooms, this edges ahead.
