Adult Site Privacy Rankings

The research says 93% of porn sites leak data to third parties. That's from Maris et al., 2019 — 22,484 sites analyzed. Google trackers on 74% of them. Average of 7 third-party domains and 9 third-party cookies per site. Only 17% using HTTPS. Only 4% with a cookie consent banner.

Our data paints a different picture — because we review mainstream platforms, not the bottom of the barrel. The average tracker count across our 200 scanned sites is 2.0. 41 sites came back completely clean: 0 trackers, 0 cookies.

But here's where it gets interesting. 7 sites are running session recording — meaning they can replay your entire browsing session. 5 captures keystrokes. 12 use canvas fingerprinting, which identifies your browser uniquely across sessions even without cookies.

The gap between the cleanest and dirtiest mainstream sites is enormous. And nobody — not the VPN blogs, not the "safe site" listicles, not the tech press — publishes this data site by site. That's what this page does.

Every site is scanned with The Markup's Blacklight privacy inspector. Blacklight loads the site in an instrumented browser and detects third-party trackers, cookies, canvas fingerprinting, session recording scripts, and keystroke capture code. Each scan is run individually — not in batch — to ensure accurate per-site results.

The Privacy Score shown on review pages reflects the Blacklight scan only — not the Mozilla Observatory, not the VirusTotal result, not subjective judgment. Trackers and cookies are weighted by count and type. Session recording and keystroke capture are treated as critical flags regardless of tracker count.

We do not accept payment to improve a site's privacy score. We do not notify sites before scanning. The data is what it is.

How do you scan adult sites for privacy?

We use The Markup's Blacklight tool — the same tool investigative journalists use to audit corporate surveillance. It detects third-party trackers, cookies, canvas fingerprinting, session recording, and keystroke capture. Each site is scanned individually and the results are recorded.

What's the average number of trackers on an adult site?

The average adult site loads 7 third-party trackers according to the Maris et al. study of 22,484 porn sites. Our scanned sites average lower because we review mainstream platforms — smaller, shadier sites tend to load more.

Which adult site has the best privacy?

Multiple sites scored 0 trackers and 0 cookies in our Blacklight scans, including XNXX, SpankBang, Stripchat, F95Zone, and Nutaku. Of these, Stripchat and XNXX operate at the largest scale — proving that clean scans are possible even at billions of pageviews.

What's the difference between trackers and cookies?

Trackers are third-party scripts that follow you across the web — ad networks, analytics services, social media pixels. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. Both can be used for surveillance, but trackers actively report your behavior to external companies.

What is session recording and why is it dangerous?

Session recording captures a replay of your entire browsing session — every click, scroll, mouse movement, and text input. On a regular website it's used for UX research. On an adult site where you're watching explicit content and chatting in private sessions, it's a surveillance tool that records things you'd never want replayed.

Does incognito mode protect me on porn sites?

No. Incognito mode only prevents your browser from saving local history. It does not block trackers, cookies, fingerprinting, or session recording. It does not hide your IP address from the site or your ISP. For actual privacy, you need a VPN combined with an ad blocker.
