What's good

+ Selectable LLM backends — Claude, DeepSeek, and others available depending on your tier. You can pick which model runs your conversation, which means the chat quality ceiling is as high as Claude gets. Most competitors lock you into one proprietary model and that's it

+ Group chat with multiple characters in a single room — subscriber-only but functional. Set up a scenario with three or four characters and manage turn-taking. JanitorAI doesn't offer this. Character.AI doesn't either. For complex roleplay scenarios this is a real differentiator

+ Character import support for Pygmalion, TavernAI, and Text Generation cards — if you've built characters elsewhere you can bring them in. The creation tools include personality fields, scenario setup, appearance, and profile cards with genuine depth for users who invest the time

+ VirusTotal 0/94, completely clean. The company is identified — CrushOn AI Corp., Bellevue WA, with co-founders Tao-Lun Chin and Yue Zhu named publicly. Having actual people and a US address behind an NSFW AI platform is more transparency than most competitors provide

What's bad

Blacklight detected fingerprinting — the only AI Porn platform in this project with that flag. Fingerprinting means the site can identify your browser uniquely without cookies, making it harder to browse anonymously even with privacy tools. Combined with Mozilla's Privacy Not Included warning about sensitive data collection including sexual health and gender-affirming care information, the privacy posture is worse than the 2 trackers and 0 cookies alone would suggest

Six subscription tiers from $4.90 to $150 per month. The free tier gives 100 credits per month which runs out in one serious session. The pricing structure is designed to push you up the ladder — each tier unlocks something the last one didn't, from memory depth to message length to concurrent chats. The $150/month Imperial tier exists and real people apparently pay it

Stripe dropped CrushOn as a payment processor. The iOS app was removed from the App Store for TOS violations. When both your payment partner and Apple walk away from your platform, those are institutional signals about how the business is perceived. Payments now route through Subscribestar and Paymentwall

Trustpilot reviews describe repetitive AI responses, features locked even for paying subscribers, and a support team that prioritizes promotional events over resolving tickets. One reviewer reported being a paying subscriber unable to access the image generation tool nine months after its supposed launch, with support staff dismissing it as "closed beta"

CrushOn AI review — 6/10, 2 trackers detected

I signed up for CrushOn because I'd just finished reviewing JanitorAI and wanted to see how the direct competitor stacks up. Same pitch — uncensored AI roleplay, community characters, pick your LLM. Different execution. Very different trust signals.

Let me start with what CrushOn does well because there are real features here. You can select which language model runs your conversation. Claude, DeepSeek, and several others depending on your subscription tier. That's not unique — JanitorAI has BYOM — but CrushOn integrates it into the UI rather than making you paste in API keys. You pick a model from a dropdown and chat. The quality difference between the free-tier models and Claude on a paid plan is night and day. Free tier feels like talking to a script. Claude on the upper tiers feels like talking to something that actually understands narrative context.

Group chat is the feature JanitorAI doesn't have. You can set up a room with multiple characters and manage a multi-person roleplay. Subscriber-only, but it works. For people who want to run complex scenarios with several characters interacting, this is a genuine differentiator. Character.AI can't do it. JanitorAI can't do it. CrushOn can.

The character library is large — hundreds of thousands of user-created bots, heavy anime focus, good creation tools. You can import character cards from Pygmalion, TavernAI, and Text Generation formats, which is useful if you've built characters on other platforms. The creation suite has personality fields, scenario descriptions, appearance settings, and profile cards. It goes deep if you invest the time. But the quality variance in the public library is enormous. The discovery system surfaces popular characters and popular doesn't mean good. Finding something well-crafted means scrolling past a lot of half-baked two-sentence bots.

OK. Now the other side.

The Blacklight scan returned 2 trackers and 0 cookies. Sounds clean until you see the fingerprinting flag. CrushOn is the only AI Porn platform in this project where Blacklight detected fingerprinting. Browser fingerprinting means the site can identify you uniquely by your browser configuration — screen resolution, installed fonts, GPU, timezone, a hundred other signals — without setting a single cookie. You can clear cookies. You can use incognito mode. Fingerprinting survives all of that. On an AI roleplay platform where people have conversations they wouldn't have anywhere else, that's a privacy posture I want explained. CrushOn doesn't explain it.

Mozilla does though. Their Privacy Not Included program flagged CrushOn with warnings about collecting sensitive personal data — sexual health information, medication usage, gender-affirming care information. I read that twice to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding it. Mozilla is saying CrushOn's privacy policy allows collection of sexual health and gender identity data. On a platform where people roleplay explicit scenarios under pseudonymous accounts. Let that sink in.

An independent analysis I found during research claimed to detect "45 trackers in sixty seconds" on the platform. Our Blacklight scan caught 2, so either the methodology differs or the tracking infrastructure has changed. Either way, the combination of fingerprinting plus Mozilla's assessment plus the independent finding tells a consistent story about how CrushOn treats user data.

Stripe dropped them. This matters. Stripe is the payment processor that handles mainstream tech companies. When Stripe walks away from your business, it means their risk team evaluated your operation and decided the liability wasn't worth it. Payments now route through Subscribestar and Paymentwall — functional but niche processors that typically serve platforms that can't get approved elsewhere.

The iOS app was removed from the App Store for terms of service violations. CrushOn has an Android app but it's distributed as an APK through third-party stores, not through Google Play's main listing. When Apple removes your app and Google doesn't prominently list it, you're operating outside the ecosystem that most users trust for software distribution.

The pricing. Six tiers. Free gives you 100 credits per month with 8K memory and 225 character message length. Standard at $4.90. Premium at $7.90. Luxe at $25. Elite at $66.70. Imperial at $150. Each tier unlocks incrementally more credits, longer memory, longer messages, more concurrent chats, group chat access, custom voices. The structure is designed so that no matter what tier you're on, there's a feature you can see but can't access without paying more.

For comparison — JanitorAI Pro costs $9.99 a month for 2,000 messages per day. CrushOn's Luxe tier at $25 a month gives you what looks like a comparable feature set. The Standard at $4.90 is cheaper but limited enough that you'll feel the ceiling quickly. And the Imperial tier at $150 a month for an AI chatbot is... a number that exists in 2026 apparently.

The company behind it is CrushOn AI Corp., incorporated in Delaware with a Bellevue, Washington address. Co-founders Tao-Lun Chin and Yue Zhu are publicly named. There's also a Cyprus entity — Techiepie LTD in Nicosia — referenced in their terms. The dual-jurisdiction structure is common for companies handling international payments in the adult space. VirusTotal came back 0/94. The site itself is clean from a malware perspective. The concern isn't security. It's data handling.

Trustpilot has 12 reviews and they're not kind. Repetitive AI responses that loop the same phrases. Features advertised but locked even for paying subscribers. A support team described as unresponsive or deflective. One detailed review described paying for a subscription, finding the image generation tool unavailable, opening a support ticket, being told it's a subscription feature, proving it's not listed in any plan, getting escalated, getting ignored, and watching the support lead post about a Valentine's Day promotion instead of resolving the ticket. That specific trajectory — pay money, find broken feature, get gaslit by support — came up more than once.

Image generation was apparently added in 2026 but the implementation seems spotty based on user reports. Text remains the core product. No voice chat as of March 2026. The platform is primarily text-based roleplay with visual character cards.

6.0/10. CrushOn has features that JanitorAI doesn't — group chat, integrated model selection without API keys, character card imports. The upper-tier Claude-powered conversations are genuinely good. But the fingerprinting, the Mozilla privacy warning, Stripe leaving, Apple removing the app, six pricing tiers up to $150, and the Trustpilot reports about locked features and unresponsive support add up to a platform I'd use with caution. JanitorAI does most of what CrushOn does at a lower price with a cleaner privacy scan and 1.4 million more characters. Unless group chat is a must-have for you, the math points elsewhere.
