Anal content has never had a reputation problem in terms of demand. It's a top-ten category on basically every tube site. The reputation problem was production. For years the category defaulted to a specific formula — harsh lighting, aggressive pacing, performers who looked like they'd rather be somewhere else, titles engineered for shock value rather than appeal. Tushy looked at all of that and said "what if we shot this like a Vogue editorial instead" and the result is a brand that probably shouldn't work as well as it does.

The approach is simple. Take the VMG production playbook — the locations, the lighting, the color grading, the wardrobe, the music — and apply it to anal-focused content. Every Tushy scene opens with some version of a beautiful setting and a slow narrative buildup before anything explicit happens. The pacing is deliberate. Scenes run longer than the industry average because the non-explicit portion is treated as part of the experience, not filler to skip through. I watched maybe ten scenes and the average runtime was significantly longer than equivalent content on Brazzers or Evil Angel.

That pacing choice polarizes viewers in a way the production quality doesn't. Nobody looks at a Tushy scene and thinks it's ugly — the visuals are uniformly excellent. But plenty of people look at a Tushy scene and think it's slow. If you're coming from studios where anal content gets right to it, the five-to-ten minute romantic prelude in a Santorini villa might test your patience. The performers are acting. There are dialogue scenes. Establishing shots. The production asks you to be invested in a scenario before delivering the category-specific content. Some people love that. Others hit the skip button hard.

Tushy Raw bridges the gap. Same VMG talent, stripped of the cinematic approach. More handheld, more immediate, higher energy. The performer roster shares VMG's broader talent pool. Names cross between Vixen, Blacked, and Tushy regularly — the same performer might have a Vixen glamour scene, a Blacked interracial scene, and a Tushy anal scene all within the same contract period. For the viewer this creates a weird completionist pull if you follow specific performers across brands. The network model rewards that kind of loyalty.

I'm not going to repeat the VMG production breakdown from my Vixen review. Same infrastructure, same visual standard, same locations. If you've read that review you know what the scenes look like. Tushy-specific observations: the European settings lean harder here than on Vixen proper. More Mediterranean architecture, more outdoor terraces, more natural light. The aesthetic skews toward what a European luxury brand would shoot for an ad campaign. It creates a specific mood that other anal-focused studios — Evil Angel, Jules Jordan, HardX — don't attempt.

The category limitation is the obvious constraint. Tushy is anal content. Period. If anal isn't a category you seek out, Tushy alone offers nothing. Within the network subscription that doesn't matter — Vixen, Deeper, Slayed, and the rest cover everything else. As a standalone brand, Tushy serves a specific audience with a specific preference and delivers it at a production level nobody else matches.

Tushy took a category that had been visually neglected and gave it the same treatment VMG gave everything else — cinematic quality that makes competitors look like they're operating on a different budget tier. The slow pacing won't suit everyone and the compact library is a VMG-wide trade-off. Tushy Raw softens the pacing issue. The network subscription makes the category focus irrelevant since everything else is included. If you've ever wished anal content was produced with the same care as the rest of the premium market, this is what that looks like.
